Ani, she's vegan. She is the only one on the lease for the house, so the others all sublet from her. She doesn't have a terribly close relationship with her family and is an only child.
Pam, also vegan. She's been friends with Ani since they were in high school together. She has a large, warm extended family and one sibling, a younger brother. She hates conflict and consideres herself a peacemaker.
Amanda is vegetarian and a feminist, that's her other cause apart from animals. She is the youngest child with an older brother and older sister.
Jen is the only omni in the house. She met the others through their volunteer work at the animal shelter and moved into the house when one of the other roommates graduated. She has a younger sister who is only one year younger and they are very close. After her parents split up she and her sister lived with their mother who helped in their frequent rescues of neighborhood animals. She is very opposed to any type of cruelty, to people or animals.
